Making Music, Making a Difference.
Brainstem Music produces concerts, albums, and content meant to inspire and fund youth music education efforts throughout our community. With upcoming albums along with past and future shows, we strive to help as many people as possible find the joy of music.
We're currently in the process of releasing an album and putting on our own benefit concert!
Johnny Vernazza's Christmas Blues
We believe in supporting local music and causes close to our hearts. Most recently, we recorded an entire studio album with Johnny Vernazza, "Home By Christmas," supporting both the American Cancer Society & Johnny's own journey recovering from cancer.
Stream-able Benefit Concerts:
One of the ways we give back is through our benefit concerts, creating high quality recordings that can be streamed in perpetuity by anyone willing to donate.
Our two most recent shows include "Beacon of Hope," Michael Tiernan's benefit for the Tariq Khamisa Foundation, along with "Back To the Blues," a fully original concert put on to support San Diego Labrats by Brainstem Music & Johnny Vernazza.
Educational Music Content:
We've also created numerous forms of streaming content with the goal of inspiring and educating the next generation of artists. Our primary show, Rising Artist, is currently on hiatus, but we are constantly looking for new ways to engage with local artists to support local musical efforts!
